Episode 07
=What is Chapter III= saga
=XOF Picking up the Pieces=
After the encounter with the lady wearing a trenchcoat, shades, and hat carrying a "FoxHound" insignia. The group that was meeting together to discuss "change" amongst their ranks thought things over.
A) What side to join
B) Is there a traitor among them?
C) Can we gain more members?
On their agenda, it became apparent that the world is undergoing an extreme change. A much needed one at that. For so long its been battling a neighbor across the waters, when it could have been allies. If it weren't for the changing of the tides, it would have been much easier working as security for a worthy partner.
A man named Huey also sat amongst the members. Glaring at paperwork he's been busting his back over for the past twenty-four hours. His glasses glare under the light. No one noticed him there before.
"I can.. help your cause. Let me know what you need and I can build it" Huey ponders the thought while addressing the council.
"You, Dr. Emmerich, how?!" belts out the lead director
"You helped me, I will help you" Huey confirms his stature
"But you betrayed the Diamond Dogs! We heard rumors!" responds a former XOF head chief team leader
"Its all a lie, they betrayed my trust" Huey denies the allegations
"If we can trust you, what then? Will you just walk away?" a 2nd Lieutenant pounds at the desk
"I promise on my son's life I will make the future a better place for his generation" Huey notes for a future.
"We are not into weapons, but if you can help us gather technology to work with other factions around the world. It would help our cause greatly" a scientist within the team shares their insight
"So you're becoming a new world organization? No more hurting others?" Huey asks with determination
"This group has done many things we're not proud of. We want to be more, better" the new head of XOF makes a word bond with the man left without a home.
"I like your words, count me in" Huey agrees to this new partnership. But what is the real agenda here?
=Where did Sahelanthropus go?=
Rumors from various organizations heard the call from the DD base. Some of their offshore client intel promised to keep watch of any sightings of the behemoth. However, Eli and his new fighting force "Sons of Big Boss" banded together in secret. There is no known reported locale of where this Zanzibar Land truly is laid bare. However it is close by to someone we've already met, Frank Jaeger and Naomi (whom at the time is a child). Its moments like this that change fate, or perhaps its destiny where a man or woman must take a stand for those they care about.
But it is apparrent that the land is shifting. Certain key areas are missing reliable items for their camps. And people wind up disappearing on this isle in the middle of nowhere. Or is it an actual hideaway for another?
=Playing Opossum=
With the factions across the world over laying low, no one makes a sound for months. It is until Zanzibar Land raises a fuss within foreign territories. Land grabbing, incarcerating, all in the name of "Sons of Big Boss". It is however a limelight that Ocelot is given, when a certain party invades the territory he's been held within lockup.
It is the leader of the said "Sons" that lays the groundwork to begin a new regime, with an old friend as its speaker. "This man, Shalashaska! Is one of us!" (Eli raises a fist)
To the crowd he speaks "Know this.. he is your representative, of every nation, religion, and tongue!"
"Wait, who put these notions in your head, son?" Ocelot looks at the young man before him.
"I have changed old man, I am no longer that boy your team took in years ago. I now call myself "Liquid Snake". For the bold new future ahead.. I want you on my team." He gives the man his left hand.
Ocelot takes the gesture and shakes on the deal.
"No one, this day forth stands in our way! The Sons of Big Boss will begin the next generation!" a group of Eli's men set a few charges, and they blow the cell bars off. Ocelot blinks in surprise.
"You did all this?" Ocelot asks in disbelief.
"Yes, we know you're history, sire. It is too good to pass up an opportunity."
"I know I paid my dues, my sins, this.. this is unlike a son of the Boss. Honor be thy name"
"True, but one can change, become a better man than they used to be"
"If I get this second change, what does that make me? An angel or a demon?"
"Religious all of a sudden? Those thoughts be gone.. a fresh start for all within our brotherhood."
"Brotherhood, sounds like a cult if you ask me. I was part of something long ago. But this.. feels different somehow. Are you sure you want to take on the world!?"
"They will know our names in history.. we will take back what is rightfully ours."
Sahelanthropus sits in silence, until the its red eye lifts up and zips across from side to side.
It is then a volume of helicopters bearing the DD insignia appear.
"Ah the father has arrived, what tidings does he bring? Peace or war!?"
"Big Boss you asshole! I will fuck you up!"
The man in the chopper heads those words. Looking ominously.
"Really.. I think not" "Met get down there and take them out!" giving them the signal
A volley of armed guards rappel down on rope high above the ground, enough as shock troopers firing a round of ammo down on the ground to send people flying.
Liquid's men and women have come prepared, with bulletproof gear on. Tossing things in their way, some riding motorcycles across the terrain, while others are trying to climb the ropes let down from the choppers above. The guards cut the rope sending the enemies downward to the ground. "WHUD!" Bodies come falling from the sky.
Liquid calls out to the man who would be his father "You! I owe you nothing!"
Snake makes a signal to Ocelot. "Do it!"
Ocelot looks down, "why.. you don't trust anyone anymore, not even me?" He gestures with his arms asking forgive, or forget nothing at all. Ocelot grabs a needle with some tranquilizer.
Approaching Liquid, he moves in slow with each step. Liquid remembers the past, of how he treated him like a son. He doesn't mind the old friend's re-acquataince, until he realizes before its too late. Ocelot drives the needle into Liquid's neck, and puts the man to sleep.
"Ocelot, you betrayed us.. your sons.. ugh..." THUD!
"I will forever be the one you call traitor, even when I am your master, or your sensei. The past need not be repeated, as the future already has" "Alright squad team B lets pull this team out!? Aw shit.. that mecha is moving! Fuck!
"Boss that mecha is moving on its own. Liquid's down here what the hell is going on!?"
"Aw crap.. I knew Psycho Mantis was nearby. Wait there, team go throw some stuff at that thing to slow it down. We'll head on down to hold it back! On my way down!"
Squad team S consists of Big Boss's top trusted team. They will go where they are told, no question. With enough backing, this team could outlast any militia. Human or otherwise.
It is the movement this group has like water, flowing at the same motion. Same heart beat.
As the group hails down from the sky, they move at a fast speed. With gear on their backs, they move towards the Mecha in motion. Fearing the worst, they are armed with rocket launches and blinding canisters. Tossing every they have at it.
The Mecha moves forward, with no pilot every step closer to a destination. It notices Snake and this team on the ground, it belts out a loud scream, grabbing its whip-like tail and thrusting it to the Earth. Shaking the very ground everyone is standing on.
"Everyone back up, head back go go go!" Snake calls out to the team to move away, including Ocelot. As the crew dashes for their lives, some don't survive the cataclysmic earthquake that the whip produces once it unleashes a wave of energy. Bodies are thrown into the sky. As a noble sacrifice, some of the squad have set detonation chargers in case they don't make it.
With a salute, the ones that are airborne send a signal to Big Boss.
"It has been a pleasure sir, we owe you our second chance. Let us make up for it"
A blinding spark touches the heavens, as these stars explode.
Big Boss helps the remaining squad, while listening to the radio without looking back feels the amount of loss in an instant.
=Politicians Suck=
In another place of the world, feeling the effects of Ronald Raegan, to George Bush as president. A certain Octopus, dwells within Congress watching every procession. Although he is not a fan of politics, being a watchful eye in disguise helps him learn about an adversaries routine day and night.
"Psst, cell b, who is this new guy?" - a secret service personnel in a black tux asks his team
"We have intel that they are a rep from some team named FoxHound" responds the supervisor
"He creeps me out, like that cowboy from WestWorld" says the team secretary
"Heard the guy fough in Nam, but was injured" responds team B
"Holy shit! cut the chatter we gotta have eyes on the president...." "wait" calls in the supervisor again
The president makes his speech, BUsh is one for making jokes and being serious. Something is different about him though that very night.
Leaving the security room, the head supervisor rushes to the meeting place where a ton of people are in the audience. Signalling others to follow, they all make a b-line straight for the commander in chief.
"Sir step down from the platform!"
"What?! What is going on here?"
"We would like to the know the same thing!"
"Son, I have no idea..."
In the crowd, another person is walking at a steadfast pace. The crowd reacts, its the President. They all move in unison to clear the way for him to leave.
"That is not me! I am!"
On their radio, the supervisor patches the team. "No one leaves this room! Thats an order!"
Question is, no one can distinguish which George is the real one.
A man also donning a secret service attire walks away unnoticed.
"Phew, close one. I hate these.. this is Octo calling in OH. OH come in"
"Roger roger, what is your report?"
"The Decoy is set, let Zero know that I am in the clear. But I don't know about my protege'."
On another radio not far away, time stands still
"Oh shit!" the decoy president reacts with eyes as big as saucers, being tossed to the ground.
"Imposter you are under arrest for this act!" and being handcuffed
"For those that would be, and those that will be" the decoy responds "team i am sorry, i failed"
Octopus waits in the lobby as this fiasco is underway. Although he may be an actor, he does have training under his belt. Knowing these are the "best of the best", he tries to find a hallway that is plentiful of things to start a fight with. Grabbing a pole that keeps a line in place, he cuts off the rope, and takes one of them. "Now I can do something with this"
Rushing to his teammates aid, he lunges at the team holding the prisoner. Sliding to the ground, he swings the pole knocking them down. But before that, he tells his partner to "jump". Doing so they all go down like dominoes.
"I got you friend, but next time, don't fuck this up ever again. You got me!" Octopus points directly at his student.
"Hmm understood, lets get out of here"
"OH Decoy here, I recovered our partner. Over"
"Nice move, get out of there now!" "We have a vehicle out there for you, just go go!"
Running to the door, the two men keep a stride, even holding their breath as they run.
Once outside, the opens the doors and hop in. The radio is on....
<bzzt> This is World News. An incident was reported in a far off place, where a giant mecha was spotted causing chaos! Oh my God! the people!? Who the fuck is this!? Get outta here we're gonna.. <click>
"Uh we lost signal with our correspondence team. Wait Jerry, come back in!? Jerry? Bruce? Guys.. oh no.." says the journalist
"So they finally did it, getting a worldwide audience. Well done." Decoy smiles at the thought. "The future is now"
=Underground=
On the other side of the route, Big Boss and his team reconvene to figure out how to handle this monster.
"So we have new adversaries, along with him. Damnit" BB says in a huff, punching a wall nearby.
"Snake, nothing could be done it was bound to happen. They've been misguided. Look at us, weren't we the same back then?" responds Ocelot with a forlorn face.
"Don't remind me, the Boss's legacy still tears me up inside."
During the run, Ocelot and some of the med team put Liquid on a carrying bed, with two poles at the side, and in the middle a fixture that holds a person's body. The young man is still knocked out from the shot Ocelot gave him.
"That man is your son, one of many that believed in making a "new world order"
"I understand, if it weren't for Zero's actions.. sigh I have a mess to clean up." "C Team whats your status?"
"Sir, we have casualties, but holding strong, surveying its movements. Should be clear on topside, we'll keep you updated. Oh shit.. it took out that newschopper!"
"What!?" "Get the R&D team out here, and provide some new artillery!"
"Right away!" responds the operator
=No Room For One Big Boss=
Not too far away, Venom Snake and his DD team are surveying the landscape of the vast island.
"This place is so diverse, and colorful, no wonder the kid chose it" Venom paces his breath
"Uh sir, there's a lady on the radio?" the team operator tells the man
"Thanks. I will take the call" "Um who is this?" Venom's eyes widen, and heart stops
A familiar song is channelled across the signal.
"No. It can't be. Quiet!? Oh shit! I am so glad to see you!"
But before the reunion can take place, a team pops out of hiding.
"Wait.. the Skulls?!"
Out of nowhere, they come out of the earth and dash towards Venom and his security team.
Taking to the air, they soar, then disappear. Venom watches the performance.
A band of six, dash every step in the high rise.
"So Quiet, this is what you've been up to. Very nice" Venom nods, and gives the lady a thumbs up.
But its not Venom, that the Skull unit is after, but Liquid's band of Brothers.
As they all collide, with guns ablaze, they fire, but no shots make contact. The two make contact, bodies touch the heavens or get ripped into two. Screams and other words are heard over the radio. More of the Skulls appear, the female snipers. Bullets hit every person that is an obstacle.
"Ok men, let's meet up with Quiet's band!"
"Uh boss have you lost your fucking mind?!" Johnny screams
"Not in the slightest" he grins
"You scare me" Johnny says with stern eyes
"Good" Venom continues to smile
Once the area is clear, the Skull team approaches, surrounding Venom and his men. From afar, Quiet disappears, a hint of Earth comes off the ground. And she re-appears next to Venom in a split-second. They embrace one another.
"God its been too long." Venom says to the woman who risked her life for his years ago
"These are, my people. We have been working alongside an old friend of yours" Quiet responds
"I thank you"
"And I"
"Ok lovebirds, uh we really need to haul butt. I heard our old friend/ nemesis over the radio is not far away" Johnny says in a huff
As the band reunites, they all walk in unison. Venom with his team, and Quiet with hers
In the distance, Big Boss and his armada also reconvene after the reconissance. They too begin to move in tandem.
Those words echo in the back of Venom's mind "You are me, take that with you wherever you go, always" "It is time"
Johnny asks "Oh? Time for?"
"A reunion, something even I didn't predict."
"I never thought I would seize the day, alongside my brother. But desperate times calls for acts of unity. Forget the differences of what, and who we are. United we be this day" Big Boss relays over Venom's team radio.
"Likewise"
The two men approach, and shake hands. "Think we can pull this off?"
"You kicked its ass last time. I heard about it. Nice work"
"So how did you learn about us being here?"
"A certain lady relayed a message over an old signal we used back in the day"
"Dr. Clark, the legend. Hmm good."
"And her too, Quiet. You've done well Venom" "This must be awkward for the gang to realize two men with the same face."
"Someday, we'll explain, but now's not the time"
Johnny relays a message "Zero is on his way with more squad members!" <click>
"Zero?! Sigint!?" Big Boss's face expression changes
"Old friends indeed, heard about Major Oh" "I am so sorry"
"Don't be, its in the past" Big Boss says to his protege' now natural leader
"We've got alot more to worry about. Our old friend Saleanthropus"...
The two men look on, as the mecha traverses every obstacle in its path
"I have my R&D team working on some new toys" Venom says to Big Boss
"I bet you do, same with my squad, they are the best" Big Boss grins "But we've sadly lots a few in this skirmish, no more death, none" he continues with a frown.
"That I promise, we have new angels and demons on our side' Venom responds with an eyebrow twitch.
As the two teams approach the old enemy. The relay over the wire confirms, they have the equipment that may be able to take down the monstrosity once and for all.

=What is Chapter III= part 2
"What Lies Ahead"
The two men known as "Big Boss" have united after many years. Only seldom communicated over various comms that were connected to various parts of the moon phases. Unknown to their armada, that in fact they had two leaders with the same face. Their secret has to be broken, to save humanity from the monster Huey Emmerich & Dr. Strangelove created many years ago.
Venom calls in on comms to radio Quiet & her team (along with Sniper Wolf and others by their side) "Its time, we are making our move, you are our eyes, ears and soul, we promise to not let anyone die this day."
Big Boss grins "So you're quite the dialog man, well done"
Venom replies "I learned from the best"
Campbell also relays a message to Big Boss "The President was attacked by an unknown assailant. Looks like that militia Eli built gained some notoriety. That mecha is a nightmare, its all over the news!"
Big Boss's heart pounds in his chest. "What!? That wasn't suppose to happen?!" "Grrr."
Campbell "I know, we're doing our best to clear the airwaves. Even a news chopper was taken down by that thing"
"Its now or never, we move in" the two leaders respond
"God Speed" Campbell responds in a calm manner to the two of them
"S Squad, report in!"
"Op here"
"Status?"
"Zero arrived, we received a good load"
"Have it ready for us, we're on our way there!"
"Yes sir!'
Not far behind the S Squad, Ocelot dons a pair of binoculars watching the pace of Saleanthropus. "We've been here before" he says But on his radio, a call from Decoy Octopus interrupts his recon.
<bzzt>
"Ocelot, this is Octo. Come in"
"Hmm, you. Why are on my channel?"
"Shalashaska, the time has come my dear brother"
"Oh that has been done"
"Yes, the rising of FoxHound"
"And the president?"
"Already taken care of, we have the real one in custody"
"Well done. Keep me appraised of any updates further"
"It shall be done"
<bzzt> <click>
"So the new generation is here, this team will begin a new future after all" Ocelot's consciousness races at the thought. "Now to put someone else in that oval office, it won't be long" his faces changes its description with a smirk.
In a convoy of vehicles, the two bands of Big Boss & Venom Snake armada work in tandem. The line of vehicles, tanks, and choppers hover the skies. Ocelot and the S Squad watch from afar, as the group finds areas to reconvene, till their next act.
"We are ready when you are!" Big Boss calls in on the radio
"Over, and out, artillery is ready for pickup!" S Squad's commander informs the Snakes'.
On Ocelot's com, he gets a message "Fox Team 0 is intercepting the Boss"
"Make your move"
"Right away"
At the area of open earth, Big Boss turns around to face his troops. But they all have their guns raised. "What the fuck are you doing!?"
"We are"
"Taking over" they say in unison
Venom taps his radio to call Quiet and her team "Psst, trouble, we've been double crossed. How close are you?"
"Not far, just on the cliffside" Sniper Wolf relays her message, with Quiet signalling the Skulls to intercept
"Thank God. My heart stopped. Big Boss and I are up shit creek"
"Don't worry we've got your back" Quiet responds
Near the two leaders, their former team fires bullets, they all come flying at once. But before they can reach their targets, time stands still. Nothing moves, no one breaths.
The ground shakes with a wave of energy, and a band of the Skull female snipers interrupts the ricochet with swords in each hand. With Quiet also nearby, she swoops in and throws the two men down, to avoid the ricochet. The rush of the impact dazes Big Boss and Venom. but for a good reason. The now formed enemy troop bodies are impacted by the ricochet, and all of them are sent flying to the ground. And some are sadly cut into ribbons by the Skull's swords.
Quiet, lies on top of the two men, holding them back from the impact of the powers being released by her team. There is so much energy, it causes a wave to bubble forth, sending vehicles flying. With that said, the choppers sway away from the ricochet best they can. But alas they don't move fast enough, and are caught by the impact and fall towards the ground.
After all is said and done, Quiet helps the two men off the ground. Getting up, she also gives a signal to her team, that they're okay. Being confirmed, the Skull unit disappears again.
"Ugh what was that?" Big Boss asks the lady
"You're welcome" she smiles
"I like her style, Venom" Big Boss responds. Venom smiles
But before they can catch their breaths, more of this new uprising appears volleying from the choppers above. The trio of leaders look at the heavens as these "demons" appear out of nowhere. "No rest for the wicked" Venom says in a whisper
Big Boss, Venom, and Quiet are side by side. Nowhere to run, nowhere to go.
As this opposing team makes their move, the trio strike at any who approach.
"This is not my call, Venom, Quiet. But I will fight alongside you. You have my word"
"Good to know" Quiet responds
With the fleet of enemies growing on the ground, Quiet's squad also makes their move. Intercepting any from a distance. Sniper Wolf guns down several with well placed shots.
The Skulls sweep the guerillas, as if they were gnats on a windshield. With the rest at intense speed rush in towards their leaders with an inert pace. Fists, and kicks land every blow possible with close contact, CQC at its finest, the three keep up their defense. No guns, just blow by consequitive blow.
Bodies keep piling up on the ground, the fight alone keeps the three at bay. While in the far off distance, the Skulls and DD team unite versus the sharpshooters. One by one they fall, but some of the heroic teams also fair casualties. But never giving up the fight.
Not too far away, the mecha moves at a menacing pace. With the R&D S Squad volleying a barrage of armor piercing ammo. Pieces come flying off one by one, yet it still keep at it route, to the waters. Some of the Skull unit tough guys lunge at the monster from behind, taking leaps and bounds on its body to help with the effort. Punching heavy blows, it causes pieces to litter the sky like a falling satellite. While at it, the mecha takes a huge leap, with the volley of blows, and shots littering its barely alive corpse. With a eerie scream it holds once, and then from the heavens to the earth. Its head comes falling off, thankfully not hitting anyone on the ground.
"Sirs, and ma'am we got it!" The S Squad R&D team leader sends his report
"Many thanks, we've got plenty to deal with here" Venom responds under a breath
"Alright Sons of Big Boss, have at it!" the Big Boss himself responds in tandem with the events. Close by another group of enemies race at breathtaking speed towards their goal.
Venom hears an echo of a familiar voice
"So you've chosen this path, my XOF on your side, and your old team is the enemy" Skull Face mirrors
"No, this is not the time demon, leave me be"
"Come now, admit it, you're enjoying all of it"
"No, I'm not I want this to end."
"So it shall be" Skull faces responds, then fades away
"Uh Venom, you alright?" asks Big Boss
"Just that ghost keeps haunting me" Venom answers with a sigh
"I know what you mean" Big Boss does the same
Quiet is with them, standing right beside "I am with you all the way"
Gathering their remaining strength, the trio, and the Skulls work side by side.
Intimidated at first, the armada of trouble refuses to give up. All in unison the group runs towards Big Boss, Venom and Quiet. In a heartbeat, the trio breaks up and lunges. Time slows down, earth is moved, impacts and blows smash at various points in opponents bodies. Quiet goes airborne, then comes down leaving a kinetic wave, throwing some onto the ground. While Big Boss and Venom get into a brawl, nailing everyone in a single blow.
On the other side, the Skulls also deal some sweet justice, as they corral any issue and bring them down onto the ground.
Sniper Wolf also joins in the chaos, with a mist left behind. Now she is in the thick of battle, working alongside her teacher, and allies. "You know what you're doing after all."
"No shit" Quiet grins to her pupil
As the teams unite, the enemies begin to trickle down in number. Until a certain person wakes up near Ocelot. "My, my, how the tides have turned. I bring the future, but you want to escalate everything" Liquid stammers
"Not the time for you to be up son, nighty night" Ocelot puts him a strangle hold. Liquid's body shakes for a moment, and then is still.
"XOF01 this is Revolver.. the time has come"
"Sir? What are your orders?"
"Take Liquid into custody"
"Yes sir"
Zero's team has also intercepted the lone Ocelot.
"Say old friend, its your time for some answers" he responds walking behind his old opponent
"I stopped running a long time ago, the players have met, now for things to be" Ocelot says in a menacing tone
"No more questions, just answers" Zero answers with piercing eyes
"You may put us away, but more will appear. Know this be true" Ocelot looks at Zero in a different light with his eyes
"Take him away.. man Snake, Venom and Quiet. I hope you get through this skirmish okay" Zero thinks over while taking Ocelot back to the chopper.
As Zero's chopper leaves the battlefield, Big Boss and friends watch it leave.
"Enough!" Venom yells at their opponents. "Stand down!"
They all stop moving, and look at one another... "where am i?" they check all over their gear, and look around. "Wait, Boss is that?! Holy shit!" they all salute their former leader
In the distance a certain "Psycho Mantis" shows up in the horizon, the leaders feel that presence like a chill down their spine.
"It was you.. trouble maker." Venom points at the now grown man
"Ah yes... but it was fate that chose to intervene, as I am an instrument playing a wonderful melody. But this is not the time for us to meet, it shall be another time. Farewell" and vanishes
"I never liked him in the first place" Big Boss looks at Venom and Quiet. "You did very well, I am glad to know the future is in capable hands"
Over the radio Big boss makes a call
<bzzt>
"FoxHound its time we leave"
"Yes sir!"
"Venom, Quiet, good luck. We will meet again later. That I promise."
The two men shake hands, and Big Boss also shakes Quiet's hand "thank you angel, you made us demons equals, never change that heart of yours"
As the team's seperate, Venom looks at Quiet.
"Oh how I've missed this, forgive me, the past was not my finest moment. I never gave up looking for you after that day" Venom looks at her with endearing eyes
And Quiet gets close to her partner, they embrace never letting go.
As the sun sets, Johnny delivers a call on their radios
"Hey lovebirds lets get outta here!"
