MGSV - Quiet special story
"Valentine's day"
On the Diamond Dog base, its been accustom to celebrate holidays throughout the year. However, the lady wasn't used to that concept. Although she does love Christmas, even receiving a few new guns, and a knife from Venom. (he does know what she likes after all)
It is an early morning, the sun shining bright above the crystal clear waters. Nope, wait, that was just a dream she was having. Actually it was the worst possible day, a torrential downpour was hitting DD HQ left and right, so the crew settled in the lower barracks to have a meeting. With one exception, it happened to be "Cupid's Day".
Like "Secret Santa" but with a twist, every DD member had a have a written card, and hand to any one else blindly. From there they pass that card to the next person. With a pen in hand, Quiet looked at the card with a precarious eye, well her right, but her left kept watch over the other competition.
Not too far away, a man who needs no introduction, Ocelot walks by the lady.
"Say you don't have to if you don't want...
Quiet puts her hand up to his mouth
"Okay, I wonder who your valentine might be" he says with a smile. (hiding in his pocket, it already has a name, and a drawing of a certain someone)
In another room down the hall: Grumpy Kaz sits at his desk listening to a Chuck Berry oldie.. and taps his foot to the beat. Except he fell asleep. Some of the DD female crew left a pile of cards next to his radio. None of them make a sound (which is astonishing, since Kaz has excellent hearing)
Back to Ocelot with Quiet...
"You really are focused aren't you?" he winks (with a twinkle)
Across the room, a bunch of the team are gathered, thankfully there's plenty of space for both genders to occupy this space.
"Attention all Diamond Dogs, since we're apparently under a storm watch, we might be here awhile."
Bzzt. Ocelot's radio buzzes
"Yeah I'm here.. what's up Johnny?"
"Sir! Snake is on his way from prior mission, I think he brought flowers!?"
"What!?" Escort the man, you know the drill!"
"Aye aye!" says the irritable bowled team mate
Quiet's look on her face changed from serious, to a bright red.
"Uh Quiet you okay?" Ocelot asks noticing her reaction to the news... "oh boy"
In her mind, if they could go away together, a ride on the chopper to some far off land. No barriers in the way, and with DD by their side, maybe a moonlit ride on D-Horse. Sigh..
Snake enters the corridor... "uh Ocelot, is she okay?"
"Sir, I dunno" Ocelot waves some salt in front of her nose.
Still daydreaming about their getaway missions...
"Those flowers, Boss.. who are they for? Me? (God I hope its me!) Ocelot thinks in the back of his mind
Venom smiles at his old comrade, "Well I have a few to give away, I know you love all kinds so here's a bouquet"
Ocelot's eyes flutter like Flower (the skunk from Walt Disney's "Bambi") "Aw Boss you shouldn't have"
Venom turns red, and coughts, with a stern look on his face. The rest of the DD team are in stance, saluting their fearless leader. A few smile, at their leader's reaction to the situation. Except the ladies are swooning (when they see Ocelot with the flowers they pounce on him in a heartbeat)
Soon enough a giant cloud takes up space in the work area, Ocelot is caught in the catfight!)
"Uh Boss, a little help!? for the love of God man!"
Venom points that he's moving elsewhere "oops, sorry going this way"
Moving elsewhere, he sees Quiet in her daydreaming repose... she is really in deep. So he plants a kiss on her cheek. In an instant, her CQC skills go into overdrive, and she punches Venom in the jewels.
"Hi.. I will be right here" he stammers after trying to catch his breath, holding himself.
Quiet notices the person she punched, and tries to help the man.
"Ow.." Venom says to her, "happy valentine's day" the bouquet, card and chocolates are still in his arms. "here"
Quiet looks at the gifts he brought to her, saddened that her actions caused the person she looks towards pain. She smiles, and helps him up.
Meanwhile in the other room, Kaz wakes up from his sleep
"Wait what is that smell!?" "hmm it can't be!" "The pizza I ordered!"
On the radio, he barks at Johnny "you said 30 minutes or less man what gives?!"
"B-b-but the boss brought back stuff I lost track of... uh oh"
"Don't give me uh oh"
"I am going to back away slowly, and run really fast"
"Johnnyy!!!"
